Irene Weatherfield

Irene Weatherfield 75, of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away on July 17,2026. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Craig, and her son, Joseph. She is preceded in death by her son, Nathan and her mother, Cecelia Vigil and her father, Felix Vigil. She also leaves her brothers and sisters Isabel, Patricia, Rita, Rebecca, Helen, Ray, Will, and Matthew as well as several nieces, nephews, and two godchildren. After a valiant seve- year battle with cancer, she left us to be with Nathan and her family.

Irene was born April 22,1951 in Taos, New Mexico to Cecilia and Felix Vigil. She was raised by her grandparents in Pueblo, Colorado surrounded by cousins, aunts, and uncles who gave her love and encouragement. She later went on to achieve a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology.

A natural leader, Irene dedicated her career to Senior Healthcare where she used her compassion, integrity, and determination to make a difference in the lives of others. She was known as someone who always did the right thing and was someone people could count on. Irene's love, guidance, and example touched many lives and will be remembered as a loving and genuine person.

Irene's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife and mother who worked hard to provide the best life possible for those she loved.

Her other loves were traveling, gardening, her dogs, working on puzzles, movies, making others laugh, and sharing good food with friends and family. She had a sense of adventure and always challenged herself.

She had a gift of always making people feel loved and appreciated. Her favorite saying was, "I love you more!". Irene leaves behind a legacy of love strength, kindness, and compassion that will continue through all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed.
