Born on March 14, 1944, in Dilia, New Mexico, Carmen was the beloved daughter of Fidel and Jesusita Gonzales. She is predeceased by her loving parents and her husband, Leonard Martinez.

Carmen's life was a testament to her kind heart and unwavering dedication to her family and community. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be remembered by her children, Marty Martinez and Carol Baca; her grandchildren, Monique Bennett and Husband Derek Bennett, Benjamin Baca and his wife Crystal Baca, and Felicia Collins and her great-grandchildren, Benjamin Leonard Baca, Emma Baca, Irelyn Bennett and Juni Collins.

Throughout her career, Carmen was a force in Albuquerque's hospitality industry. She worked tirelessly to open and manage several hotels, leaving a mark on the community and those who had the privilege of working alongside her.

A devout member of the Catholic Church, Carmen's faith was a guiding light in her life. She found joy in simple pleasures, such as gardening and remodeling, pursuits that reflected her creative spirit and attention to detail.

Carmen's generosity and love extended beyond her family; she touched the lives of everyone she met with her kindness and compassion. Her family fondly remembers her as a woman of strength and grace, whose laughter and warmth filled their home.

In keeping with Carmen's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her life.
